WOODHENGE CLEOME
This is a seed selection of Cleome hasselariana. Over 25 years, we have selected the most vigorous, branched, hardy, sunfast, and cleome beetle resistant Lavenders, Purples, and Violets. Colors do not come true in this selection, but about 80% of the seedlings will be of the above colors. 20% Pink and Rose. No reds or whites.
What does come true from seed are very tall, wide, branched, and vigorous plants that will reseed in your garden for years. Requires full sun to part shade. Period! ( but water helps!)
A packet of at least 50 seeds is $8, plus $2 for shipping.
Plant in spring or fall, very shallow, in moist, well drained soil. In our garden, volunteers come up and we just remove what we don't want. Comes up just fine when using pre emergent herbicides too, if you do use them.
